Hallweld Gratings has been involved in the manufacture and fabrication of steel and aluminium grating since Alfred Hall started Hallweld Engineers in 1905. Originally handmade during World War Two, the product is now manufactured by machine and then cut to size for our clients. Alterations and additions to the finished product are also made at the time the grating is cut. These may include cut-outs for railings and the addition of kick plates, abrasive strips, nosings etc.
Hallweld Gratings' grate products are widely used throughout industry and in civil construction for walkways and drainage projects.
Gratings, coupled with handrail products, combine to form a versatile, cost-effective and universally accepted walkway system. Gratings can be supplied untreated, in galvanized mild steel, stainless steel, aluminium or Fibre Reinforced Plastic (FRP). They can also be supplied in a range of colours, finishes and patterns.
Throughout this section of the website, you will find a number of PDFs which set out more detailed information such as load and deflection tables, ordering codes etc. Please feel free to use these as required.
